I am committed to the changes needed for sustainability shift within the exterior paint and roof coatings industries. This means I am being instrumental in sourcing the broadspread use of IR reflective pigmented coatings through my company, which also is organized along sustainability precepts and values.
My background includes high end home painting for over 20 years and as a painting contracting consultant for large complexes (homeowner associations, and common interest developments). I’ve written articles on painting and deferred maintenance, low VOC paints as well as, solar reflective paints and coatings. I’ve also presented cool reflective coatings technology to numerous groups including architects, construction management firms, property managers, association boards and the Attorney General’s office of the State of California. I am available as a project consultant for this purpose and for reserve studies for painting.
My grandmother owned and ran four paint and wallpaper stores in the 1930s to late 1950′s based in central Ohio. I don’t remember the stores, but I do remember my grandmother, She was a fierce, independent and strong business woman more on the model of the old west’s self- determination. I guess paint was in my blood (I certainly know the toxic products I applied for years was until I did some detoxification). I’ve been on the Today Show, live in front of nine million people, as an advocate on the subject of stopping junk mail. My degree is in Archaeology, perfect for understanding the many issue involved in how a building got into the condition it is when maintenance has been deffered!
Thanks very much for checking in and being interested in this subject.
